Innovative Facility to Address Wellness Gaps and Foster Community Revitalization
DETROIT – December 17, 2024 – EPIC Health is thrilled to announce the development of its newest state-of-the-art health center, set to open its doors by mid-April 2025. Located at 4059 W. Davison Ave. near Dexter Ave. on Detroit’s west side, this two-story primary care facility is poised to revolutionize healthcare access in the Russell Woods Sullivan community and vicinity, a region currently recognized as a health desert.
The main floor of the health center will feature multiple examination rooms and labs, designed to address wellness gaps and provide specialty care for both current and new patients. The second floor, with its use yet to be determined, will ultimately serve as an accessible space for the local community, further enhancing the center’s role as a community hub that positions EPIC as not only a health center but a help center.
The establishment of this health center is a significant step towards mitigating the challenges faced by residents in health deserts. By providing comprehensive primary care services and specialty care, EPIC Health aims to bridge the gap in healthcare access, ensuring that all community members receive the quality care they deserve.
“EPIC Health is committed to transforming healthcare access in underserved areas,” said Dr. Greg Naman, Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at EPIC Health. “Our new health center will not only provide essential medical services but also foster a healthier, more vibrant community.”
Dr. Ted Naman, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at EPIC Health, added, “This facility represents our dedication to innovation in healthcare technology. By integrating advanced medical technologies, we can offer more efficient and effective care to our patients.”
EPIC Health’s recent growth in the metropolitan Detroit area underscores its commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare. This new health center aligns with the City of Detroit’s strategy for improvement in the Russell Woods Sullivan area, which focuses on inclusionary growth, economic opportunity, and creating a healthy and beautiful Detroit.
Melvin Chuney, President of the Russell Woods Sullivan Area Association, expressed his enthusiasm for the new health center: “This health center is a beacon of hope for our community. It signifies a future where our residents have easy access to top-notch healthcare services, right in their neighborhood.”
The development of this health center is more than just a healthcare initiative; it is a catalyst for revitalization in the Russell Woods Sullivan area. By bringing essential medical services to the heart of the community, EPIC Health is helping to stimulate local economic growth, create jobs, and foster a sense of pride among residents. The presence of a modern healthcare facility can attract further investments and development, contributing to the overall upliftment of the neighborhood.
In a unique and meaningful touch, the building’s facade will feature a mural that reflects EPIC Health’s brand, mission, and the rich heritage of the local community. This artwork will serve as a visual representation of its commitment to the community and its dedication to fostering a sense of pride and belonging.
The new EPIC Health center is a testament to the organization’s commitment to innovation and community well-being. As the project progresses, EPIC Health will continue to engage with residents to ensure the facility meets their needs and expectations.
Whether you have private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, or are underinsured, EPIC Health provides accessible, high-quality healthcare to everyone. Our new health center will ensure that all members of the community have access to the medical services they need, regardless of their insurance status.
