Acquisition of Dr. Hardman and Dr. Hendrick’s Practices Enhances EPIC Health’s Commitment to Exceptional Care in Flint and Flushing
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – January 13, 2024 – EPIC Health proudly announces the acquisition of renowned medical practices in Flint and Flushing, enhancing our commitment to exceptional healthcare.
Dr. Donald Hardman: A Pillar of Flint’s Medical Community For 39 years, Dr. Donald Hardman has been a cornerstone of Flint’s medical community, renowned for his expertise in managing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. His practice is distinguished by long-term staff retention and deep patient loyalty, with his least tenured staff member serving for 12 years. Dr. Hardman, who completed his residency at Spectrum Health Butterworth Camp, has consistently earned high patient ratings. The acquisition process was accelerated to allow Dr. Hardman to concentrate more on patient care and less on administrative tasks.
Dr. Kim Hendrick: Honoring a Legacy in Flushing Dr. Kim Hendrick, a beloved figure in Flushing for over 30 years, left a lasting legacy through his compassionate care and multi-generational patient relationships. His medical receptionist, Renee, who has been with him since childhood, will continue her role under EPIC Health, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining the strong patient relationships Dr. Hendrick fostered. Dr. Hendrick was also deeply involved in pharmaceutical research, contributing to the development of new medications through his committee work.
The acquisition of Dr. Hendrick’s practice was particularly poignant due to his prolonged illness and eventual passing from terminal lung cancer. EPIC worked closely with Dr. Hendrick’s family and staff to ensure a smooth transition that honored their grieving process while maintaining the high standard of care his patients were accustomed to.
“We are honored to integrate the practices of Dr. Hardman and Dr. Hendrick into the EPIC Health family. Their commitment to patient care and community service aligns perfectly with our values,” said Dr. Greg Naman, co-owner and Chief Strategy Officer of EPIC Health. “This acquisition allows us to continue providing exceptional care to the Flint and Flushing communities, building on the strong foundations laid by Dr. Hardman and Dr. Hendrick,” added Dr. Greg Naman.
“I am deeply honored to continue serving our patients under EPIC Health. Dr. Hendrick’s dedication to his patients was truly inspiring, and I am committed to maintaining the high standard of care he established,” said Renee, medical receptionist to the late Dr. Hendrick.
