What Happened
On January 7, 2026, Epic Health identified suspicious activity within its computer network. We immediately took steps to secure our systems and engaged experienced cybersecurity professionals, as well as federal law enforcement, to assist with the investigation.
Our investigation determined that on or around January 3, 2026, an unauthorized actor gained access to certain computer systems and acquired files from those systems. We conducted a thorough review to determine the nature and scope of the information involved and worked to obtain assurances from the unauthorized party that the acquired information was deleted and not further used or disclosed.
What Information Was Involved
The information potentially involved includes name in combination with certain demographic and contact information, such as date of birth, age, marital status, home address, home phone number, cell phone number, email address, patient ID, insurance payor name, and diagnosis category.
Importantly, the unauthorized actor did not access our electronic medical record system. Social Security numbers and financial account information were not involved in this incident.
